Who writes our guides
Our guides are written by the Mentis wellness team: the same people who design the plans, activities and check-ins inside the app. We write about techniques we've studied closely, from CBT-I for sleep to worry postponement and self-compassion, and we explain them in plain, practical language for an Indian audience.
Our content is not written or reviewed by a clinician, and it isn't medical advice. Where a topic goes beyond everyday wellbeing (a diagnosed condition, medication, a crisis), we say so and point you to qualified professionals and to Tele-MANAS 14416.
How we use research
- We base techniques on published research: peer-reviewed studies, meta-analyses, and guidance from bodies like the WHO, NIMHANS and India's Ministry of Health.
- We name the study or source when we use a number, and list sources at the end of each article.
- We prefer reviews and large trials over single small studies, and we say when evidence is early or mixed.
- We never invent statistics, testimonials, ratings or user numbers.
What we won't say
- That Mentis diagnoses, treats or cures any condition. It's a self-help wellness app.
- That Mimi is a therapist. Mimi is an AI companion.
- That any technique works for everyone, or works instantly.
Keeping things current
Every guide shows the date it was last updated. We review our most-read guides regularly and update them when new research or official guidance changes the picture.
